The Pentagon Wars

Story of a cover up in the military.

Details

The Pentagon Wars is a thought-provoking and satirical movie based on a true story. Set in the 1980s, it follows the humorous yet disturbing journey of Lieutenant Colonel James G. Burton, played brilliantly by actor Kelsey Grammer. Burton is tasked with overseeing the development of a new military vehicle called the Bradley Fighting Vehicle.

As Burton delves deeper into the project, he soon discovers that the Bradley is plagued with disastrous design flaws. Ignored by higher-ups who want to push the vehicle into production regardless of its issues, Burton embarks on a quest to expose the truth and prevent the military from spending billions on a flawed machine that could endanger soldiers' lives.

However, he faces extreme resistance from the military's bureaucratic system, which is more concerned with their reputation and securing contracts than the safety of the troops. Burton's efforts result in a series of outrageous and sometimes comical situations, as he clashes with incompetent superiors, manipulative politicians, and dimwitted private contractors.

With a smart blend of humor and drama, The Pentagon Wars sheds light on the wastefulness, corruption, and cover-ups that can occur within the military-industrial complex. It challenges the audience to question the priorities and decision-making processes within the defense industry, all while providing an entertaining and thought-provoking viewing experience.
