In Varning för Jönssonligan (1981), the Jönsson gang finds themselves in trouble when a minor burglary goes awry and their leader, Sickan, gets caught. After spending 10 months in jail, Sickan is released, but instead of being welcomed by his gang members Vanheden and Rocky, he is picked up by the enigmatic banker Wall-Enberg Jr.

Wall-Enberg Jr. proposes a daring burglary in Switzerland to retrieve the famous Bedford Diamonds. Sickan, eager to prove himself, agrees and embarks on the mission. However, he soon realizes that he has been deceived by Wall-Enberg and narrowly escapes being caught by the authorities.

Upon returning to Sweden, Sickan reunites with his old gang members, and his focus shifts to revenge. Determined to settle the score both physically and psychologically, Sickan devises a plan to outsmart Wall-Enberg and ensure justice is served.
